The Client:

Academic Travel Abroad (ATA) is an educational travel provider that designs and operates tours for prestigious organizations such as National Geographic Expeditions, Smithsonian Journeys, Times Journeys (the New York Times’ travel program), the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and many other museums, nonprofit organizations, and alumni travel programs.

The Project:

I have been working with ATA as a freelance tour leader since 2007. Since 2012, I have also been their go-to contract writer for projects for which they need an outside wordsmith, primarily itinerary descriptions and other copy related to current and proposed tour programs.
